Does using a Dell motherboard in a broken Gateway system matter?
I have this older Gateway system that has a broken motherboard and CPU. I’ve been searching the Internet for old system pull Micro-ATX motherboard/CPU bundles to replace the broken parts, but all of the reasonably-priced ones seem to have pulled from Dell systems. While I think that it’d be just fine to throw in the Dell-pulled motherboard/CPU bundle, since you basically are replacing the system itself, I wanted a second opinion.
I don’t see why it wouldn’t work. The problem may be in connecting the mobo to the case.
